Follow-up, it’s a lost art in many quarters of today’s business. Once the essential ingredient to making the wheels of business turn it seems that today FU (short for follow-up) is a lost art.
Clients (like you) send in a request or make an inquiry and they get a response but no FU.
It seems that marketers and salespeople today think that its enough just to quote. Throw the price out there and hope it sticks, like spaghetti to the wall. The reality is clients want and deserve more.
FU not only makes sure that a salesperson gets the sale more often but more importantly it insures the following for the client:
- Their needs are met. Often client inquiries are not clear and by following up we can make sure those “pesky little details” like event dates etc are clarified!
- Price. How can we know what you expect to pay and manage that expectation if we don’t FU?
- We eliminate the waste of time: Yours and ours.
